Rev. Rick George

About Rev. Rick

Rev. Rick’s background is rooted in service and connection. After serving in the United States Air Force and as a Jr. High teacher, he spent many years serving as a church pastor. Today, he works as a hospice chaplain, a role that has taught him how to be a steady, grounding presence during life’s most “tender” seasons. That ability to connect with anyone means that you – and your family – will really like him.

Rev. Rick has been married to his wife, Summer, for over 25 years. Together, they have raised four children, gained a daughter-in-law, and have spent two decades navigating the wonderful, busy reality of family life in Chicagoland.

When he isn’t officiating weddings, Rev. Rick is likely planning his next adventure. He loves to travel and explore new places, with a particular passion for hiking through our National Parks and standing on mountain peaks. (The next photo taken at the Grand Canyon.)

When he’s back home, he’s a dedicated outdoor cook who has mastered the art of the “low and slow” game—specifically brisket and pulled pork.

While he’s a loyal fan of THE Ohio State Buckeyes and cheers for the Cubs, his favorite “team” to root for will always be his kids in their various activities.
